CBD OIL FAQs

CBD FAQs

CBD is an abbreviation for Cannabidiol, a chemical compound found naturally in the cannabis plant. It is NOT mind altering like marijuana, which means CBD will NOT make you high. Over the past 40 years there have been numerous studies that highlight the potential of CBD. Researchers discovered the human Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is the system that CBD interacts with.

Here is another good link that goes into more details What is CBD

Cannabis is the plant species which is then legally recognized as two different plants, marijuana and hemp. Hemp is a cannabis plant that contains less than .3% THC. Marijuana contains much higher levels of THC which is the cannabinoid that causes intoxication.

We are unable to legally state whether or not one of our customers will pass a drug test for any of our products. If that is a concern, we recommend doing some further research before making the decision to consume any CBD product.

No, CBD is non-psychoactive. It will not create a ‘high’ like with marijuana use.

Terpenes are aromatic compounds found naturally in fruits, flowers and herbs. In hemp plants, terpenes and CBD coexist.
Research indicates that a natural profile of terpenes may enhance the body’s ability to process CBD. This phenomenon is known as the “entourage effect”.

Gummies don’t always do well in hot climates. If your gummies have melted into a (delicious) singular gummy blob, a quick remedy is to place them in the freezer for up to 1 hour. Once cold, open the bag and you should be able to easily pull the gummies apart. Precise dosing requires a gram scale.

Please Note: Bell Family Dispensary is not responsible for melting or other damage caused by heat exposure during shipping.

Delta 8 FAQs

Delta 8 FAQs

Delta-8 is a milder form of THC. Delta-9 provides a powerful psychoactive euphoric high, but Delta-8 has far less potency and completely different effects. Because this cannabinoid is not as dominant, it provides users with a calmer experience.

The cannabis plant is full of flavorful terpenes and cannabinoids. The most commonly discussed cannabinoids are cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The form of THC that causes the psychoactive effects is called Delta-9 THC. Delta-8 THC is found naturally in the hemp plant and extracted to add to products such as tinctures, gummies, and flower.

There is no universal answer to how much hemp-derived Delta-8 you should consume. If it’s your first time trying edibles with Delta-8 THC from hemp, do not eat the entire “unit.” For example, if you are trying gummies or edible for the first time, you should not eat a whole gummy or edible. Instead, cut it up into smaller pieces, see where it takes you, and then decide where you want to go from there.

The answer is complicated. However, it’s best to avoid taking Delta 8 if you think you have a drug test coming up. Delta-8 THC does produce the same byproducts as Delta-9 THC and can lead to false-positive testing.

If you are pregnant, nursing, have any health conditions, or are taking any medications, consult your healthcare practitioner before using this product. Tamper-evident, use only if seal is intact. If you have any known heart, blood pressure, eye, eye pressure or similar related issues, do not use this product unless recommended by a doctor. Delta-8 metabolites may trigger many drug tests looking for Delta 9 THC metabolites. As a precaution, you should not take this product if you need to pass a drug test.

Delta 9 FAQs

The effects of Delta 9 THC vary per person, but the average but it is often reported as relaxing and euphoric. It’s motivating/energizing to some, especially at lower doses, and sleep-inducing to others, especially at higher doses.

It is important to always start with lower doses of Delta 9 to assess your own tolerance levels and slowly move up in dosing if needed.

Consumer Reported Delta 9 THC Effects

  • Mood boost/Happier
  • Calming
  • Relief for aches
  • Motivating
  • Better sleep
  • Increased desire for food

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery after consuming any Delta-9, whether from hemp or marijuana.

Yes! Hemp derived Delta 9 products with no more than 0.3% Delta 9 THC are federally legal in the United States.  However, there are some very important conditions that you should know about. Delta 9 THC comes from cannabis plants, but there are actually two varieties of Cannabis: hemp plants and marijuana plants. The 2018 Farm Bill established clear definitions of these two plants that apply in every state. Hemp and hemp products cannot exceed 0.3% Delta 9 THC by dry weight volume. Any plant that goes over that limit counts as marijuana. Even though some states have enacted recent laws to legalize marijuana, it is still illegal on the federal level. That means Delta 9 THC edibles are only legal when they come from hemp and contain no more than 0.3% D9.

All of Bell Family Dispensary products fit the bill because we only use hemp sources for our hemp derived products and fully comply with the 0.3% limit. This allows us to give you pure, potent, and legal THC edibles, and with the most stringent lab testing results from third party labs.

H.R. 2: The Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018,

Delta 9 THC products were made legal by H.R. 2: The Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018, commonly referred to as the 2018 Farm Bill. It was specifically made legal when hemp allowed for all products that had less than 0.3% by weight. This means that edibles, which have a higher weight, can still contain enough quantities of Delta 9 THC to feel the desired effects and maintain legality because Delta 9 makes up less than 0.3% of the entire product.

This allows you to purchase online and for us to ship legally to all 50 states. No Medical Card Required

Drug tests are designed to detect metabolites of THC. They were also developed in a time before the 2018 Farm Bill. Unfortunately, a drug test will not see if a metabolite was used to break down federally legal hemp-derived Delta-9 THC or Delta-9 THC from marijuana. It is best to avoid consuming any products containing hemp-derived cannabinoids if there’s a drug test in the near future.

There is no universal answer to how much hemp-derived Delta-9 you should consume.
